Search
Type in the Search box of the top bar and press Enter to open the search page, or go to it from the side menu. Type at least two characters, or pick a tag.
- Search everywhere matches customers, customer groups, work teams, users, work items (summary and task number), projects, documents (file name) and links (title and address). Matching is case-insensitive contains; the matched text is highlighted.
- Show only limits the results to one kind; the Tags picker limits them to a tag.
- A term that is a tag becomes that tag. Search a word that exactly matches a tag's text and the search box clears, the tag is added to the Tags filter, and the results are the items carrying it. Case and accents do not have to match. Text and tags narrow each other, so keeping both would ask for items named and tagged the same thing; the tag chip shows what your term became. To search the word as text instead, remove the chip and type it again together with another word.
- Clear all filters removes the Show only and Tags filters and keeps your term, so the results widen instead of emptying. Clear the term with the x in the search box.
- Results are grouped by kind with a count; each group shows the first 20 hits and a Show more button. Click a row to open the item — customers, groups and teams open their page with the item selected, users open their profile, work items and projects open their editor.
- A document or link opens the work item, project or customer that holds it, named under the result. A link's address opens the link itself in a new tab. Documents and links carry no tags, so a Tags filter leaves them out.
- Work results respect your restrictions: you only find what you can see, and a work item you cannot see keeps its documents and links out of the results too.
